The Company
P/F Poul Michelsen dates back to 1974 when Poul Michelsen started business in his own basement. PM, as the company is commonly known, has seen constant growth ever since.
In the beginning PM specialized in chilled and frozen products. Today however, the product selection and services have grown considerably: we now also specialize in fruit and vegetable, catering, provisioning and bakery goods.
PM employs about 60 staff.

PM has made great investments in modern transport and storage facilities, and is without doubt the best-equipped wholesale company in the country. All this results in a quick and reliable service, as well as top-quality products at highly competitive prices.
We deliver to all ports in the Faroe Islands We guarantee that all goods will be transported securely and responsibly. We especially exceed inn quality of delivery in frozen and chilled gods Our 5600 m2 warehouse contains sections for chilled, frozen and dry goods.
We maintain full traceability, so we can verify the history, location, or application of all items on stock means of documented recorded identification. We constantly monitor and reassess our work processes. We strive to provide the highest quality of service to our customers by meeting or exceeding their requirements through a system of continuous improvement in all aspects of our business.
Our Fleet
Our fleet consists of 14 specially modified lorry’s to transport frozen and chilled goods. We keep all of our lorry’s updated, for correct and safe delivery to all sites in the Faroe Islands.
This transport net enables PM to reach every corner of the islands several times a week. In addition, we have had a transport contract with MBM for several years, transporting dairy goods all over the county.
Services
We provide provisions, Food Supply, Bonded Stores Transport and Logistics for Fishing Vessels, Cruise Ships, Supply Ships and Oilrigs.
